Character Connection: Jay Heaton (Character Interview)

So, some of you might be wanting to read something with Jay in it! If you've been living under a rock and haven't read The Body Finder, he's the really cute hot guy in it...he really can't be mistaken =) I also interviewed Violet yesterday over here, so go on ahead and check it out! Anyway, here's my quick interview with him! Enjoy! Tell me what you think in the comments =) I'd love to hear from more Jay fans like me!!!

What do you think of Violet's ability?
Are you kidding, it’s awesome! Especially when we were little and she used to uncover these cool dead animals. I used to be jealous of her!

How is it like to deal with Violet's ability? Do you feel helpless sometimes?
I didn’t used to until she decided to go hunting for that psycho killer. Now I’m worried that she might try something like that again, and what if something happens to her?

What's your favorite memory of you and Violet?
Don’t tell Violet, but when we were in the fifth grade, we kissed once. She thought it was gross, but I liked it. A lot!

What's your deepest, darkest desire/secret?
It’s probably not very dark, or very deep either, but I kind of wish I was the one who could find bodies. Like I said, I was always a little jealous of Vi.

What's your favorite song?
Coldplay has a song called Violet Hill and I kinda like, although it really has nothing to do with Violet. *shrugs* I probably just like it because it has her name in it.

Are you very protective over Violet?
I don’t want to be over-protective, but I guess you could say that I watch out for her and worry about her. I can’t imagine losing her.

When did you first realize that you were in love with Violet?
Way before she ever did, that’s for sure. I think I’ve loved her since that first kiss, I just had to wait for her catch up. Thank god she finally figured it out.

Character Connection: Violet Ambrose (Character Interview)

Hey guys! I have Violet Ambrose from Kimberly Derting's The Body Finder here! And also, it's Kim's birthday so go tweet her happy birthday at @KimberlyDerting! Here's my chat with Violet!

What do you think of your 'ability'? Do you think it's a talent? Or a curse?
I used to think it was more of a curse; I just wanted to be normal like everyone else. But when I realized that it might be useful in tracking down a killer, I realized it might not be so bad to be different.

What's your favorite memory of you and Jay?
When we were younger, Jay and I used to play in the woods for hours, building forts and making treasure maps. Sometimes he would have to wait while I’d dig up an animal that called out to me, but he never complained. Jay’s just like that, kind of sweet, even about my ability.

How did you meet Jay?
He moved to our school in the first grade and he didn’t have any friends. I told him that if he kissed Chelsea Morrison I’d be his best friend. Of course, I didn’t think he’d really do it, but he did. And Chelsea did what I’d expect her to do, she pushed him down. The school had a no-tolerance policy when it came to any physical contact (like kissing or pushing), so the principal called all of our parents and we got in trouble. But we’ve been best friends ever since.

What's your favorite book?
I had to read To Kill a Mockingbird once for a class, and I really liked it! But if I’m being totally honest, I really liked Carrie by Stephen King. Now she had a creepy ability!

Do you wish that you never had your ability? Or do you wish that there were more people with your ability?
I used to, like I said before, I just wanted to be normal. I’m not sure I wish there were more people with my ability, but sometimes I wish there was someone I could talk to who really understood what it was like, being different. I wish I could talk to my grandmother about what it was like for her.

What's your biggest fear?
Losing someone I love, isn’t that everyone’s fear? I’d do anything to protect my friends and family.

Do you fear your ability?
No. It’s kind of weird, I guess, growing up with something like that you never know anything different so it’s not scary. It probably helps that my parents are so understanding about it. If they were freaked out about it, maybe I would be too.

Character Connection: Daniel Grigori (Character Interview)

Hey again guys! Today, I managed to get *more like harassed* Daniel to answer some questions. He's the totally awesome fallen angel from Fallen! Thanks for letting me interview *ahem harass* you, Daniel!

TUBL: Why, do you think, are you 'cursed'?
Daniel: A long time ago, I made a choice that was misunderstood. I chose love instead of…power. I don’t want anything from anyone other than to be left alone with Luce. But it will take so much to be able to get there. I hope we can.

TUBL: Have you ever regretted falling for Luce in any single one of her previous lives?
Daniel: I always regret it, but I can never help myself. Desire and regret go hand in hand together when it comes to Luce. I’ve spent too many years agonizing over losing her. This time is different, and I won’t let it happen again.

TUBL: What is the one thing that you most desire?
Daniel: To keep her safe.

TUBL: What's your deepest, darkest secret?
Daniel: Would you tell your deepest darkest secret to someone broadcasting it on the internet? I didn’t think so. *Okay fine, I get that...but at least I tried =)*

TUBL: Do you love Luce? How do you feel about her?
Daniel: To say that I love her is an understatement. It is the only thing I can say for certain in this world. She’s all there is for me.

TUBL: Would you rather be cursed and fall in love with Luce over and over again? Or would you rather be normal, but never meet her?
Daniel: The closest I can come to answering this question is to say that I’d rather she not have to go through the pain of our romance. It kills me to see her struggle more than it kills me to live without her. Normal is something I can’t fathom.

TUBL: What's your favorite part about Luce?
Daniel: She’s smart and so beautifully stubborn. She never gives up.

TUBL: What are your hobbies?
Daniel: I draw a lot. I have whole roomed filled with sketchbooks filled with…Luce. When I have to pass the time without her, sometimes I sing karaoke.

Woah...I never knew Daniel did karaoke...if he sings as good as he looks, then he might as well be the Grammy recipient...*sighs wistfully*

Character Connection: Luce Price (Character Interview)

Hey guys! Guess what?!? I was lucky enough to snag an interview with the one and only, Luce Price from Fallen! Thanks for letting me interview you, Luce!

TUBL: How did you feel about your parents sending you to Sword & Cross?
Luce: My parents are two of the nicest, most unsuspecting people in the world—and, when the judge made that call, they were left without a choice. I didn’t want to go, they didn’t want to send me, but after everything I’d put them through, I felt I owed it to Harry and Doreen to go to Sword and Cross without too much of a fight.

TUBL: When you first started Sword & Cross, what did you think of all the people there? Like Penn, Arianne, Daniel?
Luce: Coming from a place like Dover, where everyone made a career out of assimilating into the same old thing, Sword and Cross was both refreshing and terrifying. I liked Penn and Arriane from the start, but I’d never had friends like either one of them, so every day was something new to get used to. And Daniel…love at first sight doesn’t begin to cover it, but it’s the best description of what I thought I felt at the time.

TUBL: Once you found out what Daniel was hiding, how did you feel?
Luce: Stunned, then angry, then disbelieving, then…something like sixth-sense understanding. It was a roller-coaster at first, but then, strangely, the story started to resonate with me. If it hadn’t, I would have known something was wrong, but talking to Daniel that night at Sword and Cross…it was the first time everything felt right. He explained so many things that had no other possible explanations. I still have so many questions for him, but we’re taking things slowly. Deliciously slowly!

TUBL: How is your relationship with Daniel right now? Are you in love with him?
Luce: He’s the one.

TUBL: If Cam ever changed, would you forgive him and be his friend again?
Luce: The problem with Cam is how charming he is. He sneaks up on you. Now that I know the truth about him, I won’t let him have that power over me. Whatever kind of relationship we have in the future—and everyone from Daniel to Gabbe says we will meet Cam again—I’m going to be much more in control than I was in the past. That said, I can’t imagine him changing. He’s a pretty perfect devil, don’t you think?

TUBL: Is there a part of you (no matter how small) that wants to be with Cam?
Luce: See note about how charming he is! But no, it’s infuriating to deal with Cam. He’s the kind of guy you want to admire from afar. Very afar. Daniel’s the one I want to spend every day with. He shows me I don’t have to be ashamed of anything. He makes me feel more like myself than I ever have before.

TUBL: Do you have a favorite place in the world?
Luce: Under the magnolia tree, at the edge of the cliff looking out on the secret lake at Sword and Cross. But only with Daniel at my side.

That's it folks! I have an interview with the amazing Daniel Grigori up next...stay tuned!

Character Connection: Derek Collins (Character Interview)

Hey folks! Today, I have Derek from Angela Morrison's Sing Me to Sleep! I had a blast interviewing him although I think I did try to incriminate him though =) Enjoy!

TUBL: How do you feel about keeping your secret from Beth?
Derek: Whoa, what secret? You think I’m going to incriminate myself? Right. Next question.

TUBL: How and why did you start singing?
Derek: My mom sings. I got my great pipes from her. She signed me up for Amabile’s boys choir when I was six. My voice was totally pure back then. I wish I could still hit those notes.

TUBL: What was it like to sing with Beth?
Derek: Magic. The best time I ever had on stage. Hands down.

TUBL: How did you feel when you first heard Beth sing?
Derek: Do you believe in love at first sight? For me, it was love at first hearing. She’s beautiful. I stole her song off Bliss’s website. I got so obsessed with Beth’s voice that my girlfriend dumped me.

TUBL: Do you ever regret the fact that you kept your secret from Beth?
Derek: Every day. Shoot. You caught me.

So, hope you enjoyed getting to know more about Derek! At least you know he DOES have a secret he regrets keeping from Beth...

Character Connection: Beth Evans (Character Interview)

Heya guys! Today, I have the totally amazing singer and songwriter Beth Evans joining me today! She's from Angela Morrison's Sing Me to Sleep and is a fabulous person to talk to! Enjoy the interview!

TUBL: Why did you start singing?
Beth: My voice is the only part of me that wasn’t gross.

TUBL: How did you feel when you found out Derek's secret?
Beth: I screamed at him. Cried. And loved him even more.

TUBL: Do you think you made the right decision, loving Derek?
Beth: I don’t think I decided to love him. I couldn’t help my heart. It was full of him. What else could I do?

TUBL: If you were born 'beautiful' and not 'beastly', do you think you would still like to sing and do you think you would've met Derek and liked him?
Beth: I hope so. Crap. Maybe I would’ve been a stuck-up snot like Meadow. But even Meadow had a crush on Derek.

TUBL: What inspires you to write the songs you write?
Beth: Look at my songs. I write best when I hurt. Comes from being a beast.

Thanks for letting me interview you Beth!

Character Connection: Michael Walden (Character Interview)

*Whew* You must be getting tired of me now! I'm posting so much! Haha! But I can't resist the pleading *okay fine I'm exaggerating!* eyes of Michael to post this interview! I had so much fun learning about him! Here's a short Q&A with him!

TUBL: How did you come to love diving so much? Do you feel closer with your parents?
Michael: I grew up diving. I’m an only kid. I could swim before I walked. It’s what we did.

TUBL: What did you first think when you found out that Leesie was a Mormon?
Michael: I’m from Phoenix. Knew Mormons there. They were nice enough. Most of them didn’t party. That’s kind of all I knew. There was this one really smart girl who got student body president. I didn’t think it would be a big deal. It kind of turned into one.

TUBL: Do you think that you have let your parents’ death go with Leesie's help?
Michael: Let my parents’ deaths go? Are you kidding? It’s always there. Leesie helps, but she makes it harder, too. She’s got parents, you know. A brother. A sister. I’m even jealous of her pigs sometimes.

TUBL: What were your views on Mormon beliefs when you first met Leesie, to when you started to teach her how to dive?
Michael: They are nice. They work for her. But I don’t really get it.

TUBL: If you could go back in time, and your parents didn't die, do you think you would be with Leesie?
Michael: I never would have met her. Freak. That creeps me out. I’m going to kill Leesie for making me do this.

...hmm...okay...I guess it's either I put Michael through a lot of torture in asking these questions, or Leesie did...I'm guessing it's the former one =)

Character Connection: Leesie Hunt (Character Interview)

Hi folks! I have Leesie Hunt with me for a short Q&A! She's the awesome, smart Mormon in Taken By Storm by Angela Morrison! She could be like my role model! Seriously!

TUBL: What did you think when you first met Michael?
Leesie: I was such an idiot. All I could do was stare. I think I even drooled. He was so torn up—the pain oozed out of him. That made him even more gorgeous. Yah, I’m twisted. You’d do the same thing. No question.

TUBL: When you started a relationship with Michael, did you regret being a Mormon and having strict beliefs like your parents?
Leesie: My parents taught me those strict beliefs, but they are mine. I know it’s right. True. I’ve felt things I can’t describe or explain away. How could I regret that? I regretted not being able to comfort Michael the way he wanted me, too. But I never even imagined regretting my faith.

TUBL: How did you feel, when you found out that Michael's parents were dead? And how did you feel when Michael blamed himself for it?
Leesie: Awful. Helpless. When I tried to talk to him about it, he got so angry. So I made him apple pies, said a lot of silent prayers, and tried to kiss it better.

TUBL: Why, do you think, did Michael keep himself closed off from you sometimes?
Leesie: Sometimes? Gosh, it felt like all the time. He didn’t want to stir the storm. He was full of it—brimming over. He needed to let it out, but he can be a stubborn brat. He refused to go there. At least with me around.

TUBL: What was your reaction to Michael diving?
Leesie: It made me crazy. Still does. Don’t tell him.

Thanks for letting me interview you Leesie! It was fun...and deep! I'm glad to get to know you better!

Character Connection: Dan Devlin (Character Interview)

Hi again folks! I'm posting this a little bit early for Terri Clark Week, but here's Dan Devlin, the totally swoon-worthy male lead in SLEEPLESS!

TUBL: How is it like, being with Trinity? Do you feel helpless sometimes?
Dan: Yeah, I'd never tell her that. But when she's asleep she's vulnerable and I'm powerless to help her. I'll find a way though.

TUBL: Do you wish you had 'powers' like Trinity?
Dan: Only so I could help her. Otherwise, I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

TUBL:What do you like to do? What are your hobbies?
Dan: Hobbies? Irritating my dad and water sports. This is Florida, I'm in the water as much as possible.

TUBL: Do you feel very protective over Trin?
Dan: Surprisingly. Initially I agreed to help out because someone needed to right my dad's wrongs, but she's been growing on me.

TUBL: What is your relationship with Trin like?
Dan: I don't know if you could call what we have right now a relationship, but I find her unnerving, frustrating, incredibly strong and exciting. Don't repeat that!

Thanks Dan for letting me interview you! That was super fun! I hope y'all liked it =)

Character Connection: Trinity Michaels (Character Interview)

Hey guys! For Terri Clark Week, I have Trinity from SLEEPLESS here with my today! So ladies and gents, here is the awesomely cool Trinity Michaels!

TUBL: How does it feel like, being to go into other people's dreams?
Trinity: Honestly, it feels like a massive invasion of privacy. Imagine suddenly popping into someone's house, where you weren't invited, and you get the idea. I'm like a brain burglar!

TUBL: How does it feel to be able to get hurt through your dreams? Are you scared?
Trinity: Uh, yeah, I'm scared. For most people sleep is a respite, a safe place to escape. I already had issues falling asleep, because it meant getting sucked into someone else's dream, but now...nowhere is safe. I need to find a way to change that.

TUBL: Is your 'power' of dreams passed down from generation to generation? Or are you the only one?
Trinity: As far as I know, I'm the first. My mom thinks trauma triggered the dream thing. She also thinks everyone has natural psychic abilities, but some people are better able to tap into those talents than others.

TUBL: If you didn't have your power, how do you think your life would be like?
Trinity: Normal, I would hope. But then I'm beginning to realize that normal is relative and maybe this is something I need to come to grips with instead of denying.

TUBL: What's your relationship with Dan like?
Trinity: It's...complicated, confusing and crazy. Sure, he's like smokin' hot, but he's also the son of my sworn enemy. Hullo, there are lines you don't cross. Then again, he may just be the only one who can save my ass.

There ya go folks! Trinity was fun to talk to! Of course, we also gossiped more about Dan afterward (hehe)...he'll be on here tomorrow so watch out!
