Hey guys,

Sorry I've been AWOL the past two weeks! The charger for my computer sparked and kind of burned so I haven't been able to gain access to my computer. Anyway, I'll be posting regularly again this week. Also, somebody very close to me passed away and I've been helping to prepare plans for his wake.

The winner for the Paranormal Five Contest is: Lisa B. I've already emailed her.
The winner for the $50 CSN Gift Certificate is: Elie N. I've already emailed her as well.

Thanks to you guys who joined! Don't worry! There'll be lots more to come!

My Reading Habits!!!

So I saw this meme over at WORD for Teens as well as other blogs and it looked like soooo much fun so I decided to do it =) Hope you like reading about my wacky reading habits!!!

Do you snack while you read? If so, favourite reading snack:
Not really, I can't hold both a book and chips or something...not cut out for that kind of coordination =) Haha =D

What is your favourite drink while reading?
Either a grande, hot, upside-down caramel machiatto with three sugars from Starbucks or a grande java-chip frappuccino from Starbucks as well =) You can kind of tell I love Starbucks...hehe

Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of writing in books horrify you?
I will NEVER write on a book...but I do use those really cute teeny post-its sometimes =)

How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears? Laying the book flat open?
Nope! None of those! All of the bookmarks I get, get stuck up on my swag wall in my room which covers a really big wall...I usually just memorize the page number I stopped on. But it's so weird that I always stop on Page 236! Every single time! Isn't that really REALLY creepy?

Fiction, non-fiction, or both?
Fiction all the way...unless it's some sort of expose on the corruption in politics...now you've got me hooked =)

Are you a person who tends to read to the end of a chapter, or can you stop anywhere?
I can stop anywhere anytime...unless I'm reading a SUPER good book...then I tend to bite =D

Are you the type of person to throw a book across the room or on the floor if the author irritates you?
Nope, I just start yelling at the book...happens sometimes; especially in public places...people think I'm crazzzzy...hehe, maybe I am =)

If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop and look it up right away?
I almost always am able to figure out the word based on its context...skillzzzz right? LOL.

What are you currently reading?
I'm reading two books:
Paranormalcy by Kiersten White (FREAKING AMAZING)
Nightshade by Andrea Cremer (LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT DUDES!)

What is the last book you bought?
Just bought Gimme A Call by Sarah Mlynowski and Eternal by Cynthia Leitich Smith

Are you the type of person that reads one book at a time, or can you read more than one?
Sometimes one, but mostly two...Never three though..

Do you have a favourite time/place to read?
My bed, my beanbag, or the bathroom...weird eh?

Do you prefer series books or stand alones?
Both...really depends on the genre and quality...there are ENOUGH Vampire series...hehe...I LOOOVE Vampire Academy though =)

Is there a specific book or author you find yourself recommending over and over?
Siren by Tricia Rayburn, Shadow Hills by Anastasia Hopcus, Tension of Opposites by Kristina McBride, She's so Dead to Us by Kieran Scott, Winter Longing by Tricia Mills, The Eternal Ones by Kirsten Miller, Nightshade by Andrea Cremer, Paranormalcy by Kiersten White...LOTS of recommend-worthy books =)

How do you organize your books? (by genre, title, author's last name, etc.)
This is where my OCD comes in! I organize by series (if it is a series), then by type (hardcover or paperback), then by height, then by color. I RAGE when people mess it up! LOL!

The Darker Side of Blogging - Here we go again...

Seriously? I'm asking myself how many haters are out there! It's been really bugging me! Recently, I got this comment from a so-called Word Eater. It looked like this:

Word Eater has left a new comment on your post "Radiant Shadows Contest + Tour Info Dates!":

do you ever do reviews on the books you show off getting all the time? all i see are interviews, contests, covers. i'm surprised you even get sent books. this blog sucks.
For the last time...I DO NOT BLOG TO GET FREE BOOKS. NOR DO I 'FAKE' MY IMM POSTS!

Not only was I angry at this Word Eater, but I was really really hurt as well. The only reason why I haven't been posting the reviews for the books I get, is because I ask the publicists when they want me to post my review and interview, and I merely oblige to the date in which they want me to review the book on. Is there something wrong with that? And also, I know that this is a lame excuse for not reviewing as much, but there are actually things more important then blogging to me. I'm currently taking four AP and honors classes and I'm only a freshman. I need to keep my grades up because I don't want to waste the money my folks spend to pay for my school every year. I'm on the varsity badminton team and practice loads. And on top of that? There's blogging. Even though I'm always so stressed about school and friends, I still blog, you know why? Because I love it. And seriously? It's not fun when somebody tells you your blog sucks so if you want to say something nasty, say it to my face and leave me an email to reply to, or don't say anything at all. I'm sorry for a little harsher than usual in this post, but I'm really sick and tired of all the haters out there.

For all of my loyal followers and readers, I love you guys and will be posting more reviews this month =) Sorry if I've been a little absent in reviewing for a little while. I love reviewing books and I hope you guys will be there to read them when I do. Thanks you guys. Y'all mean a lot to me =)

Forgiveness - A TUBL Random Post

Hi guys!

I saw that some of you entered the TDD Nail-polish giveaway and I laughed, cried, and was genuinely intrigued by your answers for the forgiveness question...so I thought I'd do the same. These are the instances where I always forgive...usually not because I want to (does that sound crazy?), but because it's how I am. I'm physically and mentally UNABLE to hold a grudge or to not forgive someone. I just can't. I ALWAYS end up forgiving no matter what the situation. Here are some of my FUNNY forgive-me scenarios:

Scenario 1: The Lollipop and The Bookshelf
This guy, Aidan was 10 years old and he was in my room because his whole family was there because MY family invited them over because our moms were friends. While his brother, Liam was being a retard who was trying to be all 'cool' and everything, Aidan was in my room and found my vanilla lollipop stash. NOBODY touches my vanilla lollipops because they're really hard to find sometimes. He took one from my stash and I got really angry and started chasing him around my room. He opened it and ate it and I got really pissed. And then, he started REARRANGING my shelf!!! YOU NEVER DO THAT. Period. I nearly murdered him and instead kicked him out of my room. But I forgave him after I posted this really embarrassing picture of him on facebook. Revenge than forgiveness right? =)

Scenario 2: Sistah Fevah!
My sister, The Bookologist was being really annoying and kept entering my room and then sitting on my bed (where I was doing homework) and started bugging me. Seriously, it was ANNOYING. I had to DRAG her out of my room and lock the door just to get everything done. The next day, when I said hi to her and her friends at school, she ignored me! I got really annoying but in the end, I forgave her and now, her friends and I have become semi-friends =) They're actually pretty funny =)

Scenario 3: Snakes and Moms = TROUBLE.
Me and my dad love playing pranks on my mom and my sisters. It's sort of our thing =) So one day, I bought a real-looking snake and my dad had a real-looking scorpion. While my mom was walking to the living room, me and my dad dropped the scorpion and snake on her from the high-ceiling balcony. She screamed and nearly tripped! It was sooooo funny though! My dad and I were laughing our a**es off and starting high-fiving each other! My mom saw us and got really pissed! The next day, the same thing happened to me...only it was my mom dropping the spiders (I HATE spiders!). I forgave her though =)

New Header by Katie!

Hi guys!

Katie from Sophistikatied Book Reviews has generously (and FABULOUSLY) made a header using photoshop for The Undercover Book Lover! It's already up, but I still have to work out a few things with the sizing and alignment and stuff...god knows how long that'll take! I hate dealing with HTML! Anyway, thank you so much to Katie who has amazing photoshop skills that I can only dream to have!

Thanks Katie! I'm so grateful!

Kudos to my awesome sister...The Bookologist!!!

Hi guys!

If you don't already know, The Bookologist is actually my sister! And she's the whole brain behind the International Book Tours! I was the one who founded it, but my sister's doing loads of the work and for that, I'd like to thank her for everything she's done! She even worked on it while she had a 40 (Celsius) degree fever! That's what you call dedication! Book blogging is also what brought us even closer and now, we're having fun discussing the many aspects of books and blogging! Well, the bottom line of this message is that my sister is awesome and I'm so grateful she's there! International Book Tours would be nothing without her!

Reggie =)

I'm going crazy!!! I need YOUR help!!! Blog Renovations?

Hi guys!

Something's been bothering me for AGES now...I sort of got tired of my blog design and can't decide whether or not I should change it. I really want to change it from this:

To this from International Book Tours:

Why? Because I find my current background messy-ish and I like the organization of the background for IBT. I also like the format better and the menu with drop down things on the 'navbar'/menu...I find it easier but then people might think it's too boring. I really need your opinion on this you guys!!! I'm seriously going to go crazy if I can't decide! What do you like better for my blog?

Hey guys! This is for all of the international people!

You know about all those Book tours like the One ARC Tours, Princess Bookie Tours, Other Shelf Tours, and stuff? Well, what do you guys think about having International Book Tours? The only downside would be the shipping costs and risks, but are you guys willing to participate in case we have these International Book Tours? I really want to know your opinions about this =)
