Character Connection: Leesie Hunt (Character Interview)
Hi folks! I have Leesie Hunt with me for a short Q&A! She's the awesome, smart Mormon in Taken By Storm by Angela Morrison! She could be like my role model! Seriously!
TUBL: What did you think when you first met Michael?
Leesie: I was such an idiot. All I could do was stare. I think I even drooled. He was so torn up—the pain oozed out of him. That made him even more gorgeous. Yah, I’m twisted. You’d do the same thing. No question.
TUBL: When you started a relationship with Michael, did you regret being a Mormon and having strict beliefs like your parents?
Leesie: My parents taught me those strict beliefs, but they are mine. I know it’s right. True. I’ve felt things I can’t describe or explain away. How could I regret that? I regretted not being able to comfort Michael the way he wanted me, too. But I never even imagined regretting my faith.
TUBL: How did you feel, when you found out that Michael's parents were dead? And how did you feel when Michael blamed himself for it?
Leesie: Awful. Helpless. When I tried to talk to him about it, he got so angry. So I made him apple pies, said a lot of silent prayers, and tried to kiss it better.
TUBL: Why, do you think, did Michael keep himself closed off from you sometimes?
Leesie: Sometimes? Gosh, it felt like all the time. He didn’t want to stir the storm. He was full of it—brimming over. He needed to let it out, but he can be a stubborn brat. He refused to go there. At least with me around.
TUBL: What was your reaction to Michael diving?
Leesie: It made me crazy. Still does. Don’t tell him.
Thanks for letting me interview you Leesie! It was fun...and deep! I'm glad to get to know you better!
Peace, Love, and Role-Models,

I loved Lessie. She had beliefs and stood up for them which is admirable in a world filled with pressure to just be like everyone else.
