Readers will be able to imagine themselves in Heidi's position very easily because of the contemporary versatility and authentic characters in the book.
My Invisible Boyfriend starts out quite shallow, but the eccentric quirks and Heidi's overactive imagination lets the novel flow smoothly and eventually gains more depth and characteristic. Heidi's narration is humorous and light, making her antics even funnier to read about. And even though she's quite naive, she cares for her friends and her efforts mirror that through a few situations-gone-wrong. Heidi is not without her quirks and funny behaviors as well. I just love funny books! Meg Cabot is one of my favorite authors, and this book sounds similar to some of Cabot's works. I'll definitely be looking into it!

Sounds like a great fun read. :D I love the unique story premise, Heidi sounds like such a clever and imaginative main character to create a fake boyfriend, LOL.
I love eccentric characters... I don't really get what a DOE moment is but the book sounds fun and I really want to know who "A Real Boy" is!
It is good to read something light and uplifting every now and again just to get away from the doom and gloom and this sounds like just the remedy.

Lol what's even more funny was that in homeroom my friend and I created my own invisible boyfriend! His name was James and he rode a motorcycle too, but didn't read any poetry. My other friends beilived it for a long while till I told them I made him up. That was probably one of the biggest highlights of my sophomore year.
