Hiya guys! For today's Secret Agent Uncovered, I had the honor of interviewing Suzanne Selfors, author of Saving Juliet and Coffeehouse Angel. Both books are great! Thanks again Suzanne!

TOP SECRET!

Did you always want to become an author?
Yes, but I didn't tell any people. The problem was, I'd never met an author. I can't remember any coming to my elementary or middle school, so I didn't really know that you could do it as a job. And I had no idea how to go about becoming an author. So I wrote lots of stuff, and then I took a writing class and met this really great teacher who helped guide the way.

What is the best part about being an author?
Meeting readers. That's the VERY BEST PART!

Who or what was your inspiration for Saving Juliet?
Well, I was in the play in the 9th grade. If you go to my website you can see the photo of me playing Mercutio. And I've always loved the story, but have always hated the ending. I always thought it would be great to give Juliet a 2nd chance.

How does it feel like, knowing your books are on those bookshelves in a bookstore?
It's pretty great, let me tell you, to walk into a bookstore and see a book that you sweated and lost sleep over. Writing is really hard work. Lots of people don't know that. Especially the first published book, because often a writer has written a handful of novels before one actually gets published.

If you had to pick three things with you to bring on a deserted island, what would they be?
Well, first I'd bring a book called, "How to Survive on a Deserted Island," because I'm a practical kind of person. Then I'd bring my dog because he's simply the best dog ever. And then I'd bring something to open coconuts with.

How are you and Katrina alike? How are you different?
We're alike in that I tried lots and lots of things in high school and didn't really know what to do with myself. And we're both of Norwegian heritage. We're different in that I've never met an angel.

What's the craziest thing you've done?
I went on a date with Mick Jagger. It's true!

Do you have any upcoming books?
Yes. Next May, my 3rd middle grade book, Smells Like Dog, will be released. Very funny book. And I'm working on the 3rd YA novel, which is top secret at the moment.

OHH! Top secret...be sure to watch out for this amazing author's new books! I can't wait what she has in store for us!
